This is an overdue review due to the photos taken at the initial visit were blurred. ( my apologies). Had a great discussion with George, and Bill the owner. The environment is very modern and comfortable. You can't miss it when driving at Niagara Stone Road ( blue/purple wall). The first thing I did was tried the 2019 and 2020 Poetica. 2019 Poetica Red: the blend was Merlot base so it was smoother, more elegant, with aromas of black fruits, plums, black currant etc. It is an awesome wine that can go on par with Bordeaux high end wines. Try again on 2030 to see how it evolves. 94pts/% 2020 Poetica Red: STOCK UP!!. This is an amazing vintage. Cab Sauv based but holy it is delicious. It is more complex and I couldn't focus on describing the aromas it has more body compare to 2019. Bill Recommend 10 to 12hrs of breathing time at the wine is young. I am very impressed with it. It is a solid 95.5 pts / %. It easily has a 20+ yr drinking window but I would go for the 1.5L magnum because it is worth every penny along with a 35+ yr drinking window (If stored properly). We won't see international wine critics review Canadian wines any time soon so just enjoy it while price is reasonable. There's no guarantee it'll stay affordable.

Loved it here! I love natural wines and it was so fun to try all of their orange wines (plus a hopped cider). I wish I could have seen the animals they had on the farm, but the venue was so beautiful inside and out. I’d love to come back and try the pizza!

Our family, consisting of our two adult daughters, son-in-law and our ‘grand dog’ and 16 year old granddaughter visited Southbrook at the beginning of December. My husband and I are members of the Sip Club. We enjoyed tastings and a wonderful lunch. We were made to feel so very welcome, and a great amount of time was given to us to explain the various wines. We had an excellent visit at Southbrook winery. From the wine to the stunning view, all the way down to the delicious Panini lunch, everything was top-notch. George was an excellent Somalia, who was entertaining and educational. Would highly recommend visiting this winery.

While the wines were not of my tastes, the wine tasting experience was very pleasant. Our server was very knowledgeable, nice and patient. There is a nice patio area where they let you sit to finish your tasting. We went at the end of day on a Sunday and there was no wait.
